2015 Under 6 Years Greenhorn Competition

2nd August 2015 It is with delight that we announce that our Club member, Melanie (Mel) Bienemann, won the Under 6 Years Greenhorn Competition earlier this month. “The Rookies Triples”, as it is known, was played at the Mosman Bowling Club with 21 teams attending from all over Sydney and one team from the central coast. Melanie writes; “We played three games of nine ends. My two team mates, Genevieve Delves and Sally Posse, are members of the Mona Vale Bowling Club and have only played for two years. We won all three games with a good margin which gave us the advantage over the other two teams who had won all their games as well. It was a great day, the weather was good and we had lots of fun!” Our Club also had a team consisting of Carmel Sowden Skip , Jill Abrahams Second, and Maria Ryan Lead who won one game and lost two. Jill was one of four players in the competition awarded an Encouragement Award of $50 – well done Jill! Well done to all!
